ADITIVS AND VEHICLES |
.JPG) The decoration of ceramics requires inorganic powders which must be dispersed in a liquid and fixed to the item to be decorated. A wide range of organic binders, chemically very different between them, commonly called “vehicles”, are available for this very purpose.
The technique with which the decoration is to be applied (spray, silkscreen, decalcomania, ect.) and the working conditions (temperature, the distance between machines, the type of item the decoration it is to be applied to, etc.) and the specific characteristics of the vehicle (solubility, rheology, combustion temperature, ect) determine the choice of the vehicle which is most suited obtaining the desired results.
As for ceramic additives, they are chemical compositions of differing natures, which are used for decoration, as well as the correction and resolution of technical problems during production, or to modify certain characteristics of the materials and finished products.
The Reimbold & Strick group offers a wide choice of vehicles and additives:

ADDITIVES, VARIOUS PRODUCTS |
|
ADDITIVES FOR GLAZES
A range of products specially developed to modify the rheological conditions and correct possible silk screening and glaze problems. They are dispensed in liquid form to ease their addition on the assembly line. The range includes liquefiers, anti-sedimentaries, flocculants, ect.)
ADDITIVES FOR ATOMIZED PRODUCTS
Their use improves the mechanical properties and modifies the rheology of all atomized ceramics (porcelain, single-firing products, refractory products ect.)
NONSLIP
NonSLIP soft is a product which, when applied to raw glazed tiles greatly increases the nonslip properties of the surface after firing. It’s main characteristic is that it achieves good non slip properties without changing the colour of the piece.

GLUES AND FIXERS |
|
GLUES FOR MARBLE GRIT APPLICATION
They create a homogenous surface with the proper dryness for the application of grits. The composition allows for rapid combustion there as avoiding the “black heart” problem or trapping during the firing process.
STANDARD FIXERS
Applied over the tile’s surface, they form a perfectly homogenous layer to which to attach particles, or to prevent the dispersion of powders.

SPECIAL APPLICATION PRODUCTS |
|
METALLIC EFFECTS
Metallic concentrates created for the development of products with high added value. They may be applied by disc, roller, or silk screening, or brush.
WATERPROOFERS
Products formulated to maintain the floorings characteristics longer, protecting it from dirt and making it easier to clean.
PRDUCTS FOR GLASS
Rapidly decomposing products which allow for the decoration of glass, and glass mosaics, and improving their properties.
ROLLER GLAZING
These vehicles allow us to create high density colours with excellent drainage to obtain thicker decorations. The colours prepared with these vehicles remain stable over time without sedimentation problems..

TINTOMETRIC SYSTEMS |
|
We offer complete solutions for switchhing from a traditional manual colour preparation system, to the most modern tintometric system with integrated production, dosing and storage control. Our range of vehicles, and additives has been developed to meet the most rigorous needs, in regards to suspensions, rheology inside the doser, and the colours final characteristics.

VEHICLES |
|
VEHICLES FOR INGRAVED SILICONE ROLLER PRINTING (ROTOCOLOR)
Created to keep the colour pigments in suspension, even in conditions of low viscosity, and extended storage silk screening paste, give this silk screen the proper drainage to obtain excellent definition and intensity. Maintaining a stabile density, and viscosity during production, avoiding colour changes. The line includes high and low viscosity, thickening, and self-fixing vehicles.
VEHICLES FOR LEVEL SILK SCREENING
They give the colour good liquidity during application, and good definition on the piece. Their elevated dispersion increases the colour’s performance, the increased stability allows for the application of multiple printings, avoiding the problem of drying. The line includes high and low viscosity, thickening, and self-fixing vehicles.
THIRD-FIRING VEHICLES
Specially created to decorate pieces that have already been fired, taking into count the distinct drying method used in this application. Their rapid combustion guarantees complete decomposition during the last firing. The line includes thickening vehicles which flame dry, hot air dry, dry at room temperature, etc.
